PREMA Racing Sets Sights on 2025 with a Strong Driver Lineup

With the 2025 Formula 3 season fast approaching, PREMA Racing is gearing up for another competitive campaign. It is armed with a talented trio of drivers: Ugo Ugochukwu, Brando Badoer, and Noel León. Ugo Ugochukwu: Ready for the Fight

As a McLaren junior, Ugochukwu is determined to use his connection with McLaren to his advantage. Whilst many drivers see the jump to F3 as a huge step up, Ugochukwu is embracing his rookie year for what it is and is fully focused on gaining confidence in the car.

“For me, it’s like every other year, to be honest. Of course, you have to perform. It’s my first year in F3 […] But I’m pretty confident we’ll have a good year.”

Outside of testing, his pre-season preparation included a stint in Formula Regional Middle East, where he finished third. He took the experience as crucial preparation in keeping him sharp ahead of the F3 season.

“Obviously, the car is quite a big difference […] But more racing and more experience is always good.”

Brando Badoer: A New Chapter with PREMA and McLaren

Badoer steps into the 2025 season with a renewed sense of purpose, having joined both PREMA Racing and the McLaren Driver Development Programme. He is eager to make the most of the opportunity with the historic team.

“I’m really proud to be a PREMA driver. PREMA has a strong history […] I feel prepared to go to Australia and start this new adventure with the team.”

Badoer is also no stranger to racing against his new teammate Ugochukwu, having battled him in multiple categories over the years.

“Me and Ugo have been racing together since karting, so we know each other well […] we work together at PREMA and McLaren, but of course, on track, we’re rivals.”

Noel León: Focused on the Championship Fight

Although León is not part of a Formula 1 junior academy, he isn’t concerned, believing results will speak for themselves.

“To be honest […] I don’t know much about it. I just know that I need to have a good season and fight for the championship. The rest, my manager takes care of,”

As the only non-rookie in PREMA’s lineup, he is responsible for leading the team while his teammates adapt to Formula 3.

With prior F3 experience, León knows what it takes to perform at the highest level. While his rookie teammates are still learning, he aims to be a consistent front-runner from the start. Racing for a team with PREMA’s pedigree comes with high expectations, but rather than seeing it as pressure, León embraces the challenge.

PREMA’s Road to Melbourne

The team’s deep-rooted expertise in junior formulas, combined with a successful pre-season testing week, has given its drivers a solid foundation ahead of the season opener in Melbourne. With three highly motivated drivers and one of the strongest teams on the grid, PREMA Racing is once again expected to be a major force in the Formula 3 Championship.
