Isack Hadjar will make the step up into Formula 1 in 2025. Finishing his final season in Formula 2 in runners-up position, the French driver will be a part of the VCARB team in the coming season.

This is an exciting moment for the young driver. As he has been working toward this moment for the vast majority of this life. Helping himself to live out a childhood dream. The dream? Becoming a Formula 1 driver.

VCARB Team Boss Laurent Mekies has welcomed the rookie driver into the team. With himself and many VCARB personnel hoping the experience of Yuki Tsunoda can help coach Isack Hadjar and bring VCARB to the front of the mid-field fight.

“His (Hadjar) journey to Formula One has been nothing short of outstanding, he has shown remarkable growth, with a series of impressive results in the junior single-seater ranks. He has the talent and drive necessary to compete at the highest level, and we have every confidence that he will adapt quickly and make a significant impact.”

F1 2025, rookies galore

Isack Hadjar, will join his F2 companions of Kimi Antonelli, Ollie Bearman and championship rival Gabriel Bortoleto. Hadjar may have fallen short in the championship. Losing out to Bortoleto by a mere 22.5 points, a championship that was the closest seen in Formula 2 history.

Hadjar however, remains fully focused on helping VCARB get to a higher place in the constructors standings. “I feel like I’m stepping into a whole new universe, driving a much faster car and racing with the best drivers in the world. It’ll be a huge learning curve, but I’m ready to work hard and do the best I can for the team”

Yuki Tsunoda and Isack Hadjar complete the VCARB line-up for 2025, officially ending the Formula 1 2024 Silly Season.
