Following the cancellation of Race Two in Qatar last weekend, F1 ACADEMY have confirmed that a third race will be added to the schedule for the final round in Abu Dhabi.

The Amended Schedule

The amended F1 ACADEMY schedule sees Free Practice and Qualifying take place on Friday at 09:50 and 18:35 local time (GMT +4) respectively in Abu Dhabi.

Race One and Race Two will both take place on Saturday at 12;15 and 20:15 respectively.

Finally, Race Three will get underway on Sunday morning at 11:15, with each race lasting 30 minutes plus one lap.

How Will It Work?

After the 30-minute qualifying session, the drivers’ third-best time will determine the grid for Race Three.

The drivers fastest and second-fastest times will set the grid for Race One and Two as usual.

Officials will award two points to the drivers who are in pole position on the final starting grid for all three races.

As usual, all races will award full points on a scale from 25 points for the win to one point for P10.

Why Did Officials Cancel Race Two in Qatar?

Officials cancelled Race Two at the Lusail International Circuit due to extended barrier repairs after a crash in the Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East support race damaged the barriers at the track.

Originally scheduled for 14:00 local time, they delayed and then eventually cancelled the race following the barrier damage.

The final round of F1 ACADEMY will take place in Abu Dhabi this weekend, where they crowned Abbi Pulling as Champion in Qatar.
