Leading luggage brand Away Partners with F1 ACADEMY to support Scottish driver Logan Hannah, who joins the series as the final Wild Card Entry of 2024 in Abu Dhabi.

Hannah will take to the Yas Marina Circuit in an Away-branded livery and race suit, testament to the brand’s commitments to female empowerment and supporting female talent in motorsport.

Who Is Logan Hannah?

Hannah is a 22-year-old Scottish driver whose karting career started in the Sodi World Series.

Stepping into single seater racing in 2017, she was the first female driver to compete in the Formula 4 UAE series.

Hannah’s preparation began in October, getting behind the wheel of the F1 ACADEMY car for the first time at the Official Test at Yas Marina Circuit.

“This is an incredible opportunity for me to race on an unparalleled platform. As someone who loves to travel and experience new places, it’s amazing to be supported like a brand like Away that not only celebrates exploration but also dedicated to empowering women,” said Hannah.

“I’m excited to take on this challenge in Abu Dhabi, where I grew up karting and my career began, knowing I’m part of a mission to help create opportunities for the next generation of women in motorsport. I also was to say a personal thank you to, Susie, the entire F1 ACADEMY team, and Away for this opportunity.”

The Purpose Of The Wild Card

F1 ACADEMY’s Wild Card entry is an initiative introduced this season.

Its key aim is to strengthen the talent pool in regions where the series races.

So far this season, five talented drivers have featured on the grid as Wild Card entries, creating unparalleled opportunity for them to demonstrate and enhance their skills in F1 ACADEMY machinery.
