DAMS Lucas Oil has confirmed Dino Beganovic’s F2 debut. With the team announcing the Sweedish Driver would be replacing Juan Manuel Correa for the final two rounds of the 2024 Formula 2 season.

Beganovic joins Formula 2 after an impressive Formula 3 campaign, where he battled for the championship title until the final race, ultimately securing sixth place in the standings with two wins and two additional podium finishes.
The Ferrari Driver Academy member has had prior success in junior series. He previously clinched the 2022 Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine following a successful career in karting.
This illustrious junior career has had many F2 teams calling him to make the step up. Ultimately, this short 2024 campagin will allow Beganovic to familiarise himself with the new machinery. Helping him to hit the ground running in 2025.

Dino will be competing in Round 13 at Lusail and the season finale at Yas Marina. Eager for the opportunity, Beganovic said: “I can’t wait to make my Formula 2 debut with DAMS Lucas Oil, a team with rich history and a drive for great results. This is the natural next step in my career, and I’m ready to face the challenges of this highly competitive championship.”
“My goal for these two races is to learn as much as possible and score points in my first F2 outings in Qatar and Abu Dhabi.”
DAMS Lucas Oil Team Owner Charles Pic expressed confidence in Beganovic’s abilities: “We’re excited to bring a talent like Dino on board for the remainder of the season. Moving up from Formula 3 to such a competitive championship is a big step, but we’re confident Dino can be competitive with our support in these final two rounds.

However, whilst this is a momentous occasion for the Sweedish driver, Formula 2 says farwell to Juan Manuel Correa. A true legend of Motorsports. It is unconfirmed where he will be racing next, but Charles Pic shared his gratitude for the American.
“I’d also like to thank JM for his hard work this season; it’s been a pleasure working with him, and we wish him all the best for the future.”
