This major career step comes as she enters her second season in the F1 Academy.

Chambers’ path to this milestone was emphasised through her break out F1 Academy season. With the American driver securing 3 podium finishes in the season thus far.

Showing her true potential with a remarkable double podium at Barcelona earlier this year. Her standout moment came in the second race at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Where she took her first race win in dominant fashion. However, the 20-year-old had been building up her reputation as a rising motorsport talent, since her maiden podium in Miami.

With the departure of Emely De Heus at the end of the 2024 season due to the F1 Academy’s two-year participation limit, the door opened for Chambers to join the Red Bull family.

Reactions from Chloe Chambers, Red Bull and Ford

Reflecting on her new role with Red Bull Ford, Chambers expressed her excitement. “I am thrilled to be driving for the Red Bull Ford Academy. As an American driver, it is an honour to team up with an iconic American automotive company like Ford.” Chambers also emphasised how important it is to be partnering with a team “to continue improving female representation in the Motorsport.”

However whilst this is an exciting announcement for Chambers, she is adamant that her focus is on the final two events of the F1 Academy season.

Mark Rushbrook, Global Director of Ford Performance Motorsport spoke about this exciting signing. “Chloe is not only a real racing talent but also has the ability to race in different series. To have an American driver representing an iconic American brand is the perfect scenario for us, and we are excited for the season ahead.”

Christian Horner, CEO & Team Principal of Oracle Red Bull Racing, also emphasised the excitement of having Chambers in their academy. “Continuing our partnership with Ford as a title sponsor of the Red Bull Academy Programme is hugely exciting. It further cements their commitment to female participation in motorsports. Everyone in Red Bull are looking forward to welcoming Chloe to the Red Bull family in 2025!”

Chloe Chambers will be back racing when F1 Academy heads to Qatar in a few weeks.
