Trident have announced that Charlie Wurz has signed for the team for his sophomore year in FIA Formula 3.
This also makes Wurz the first confirmed driver for the 2025 Formula 3 grid, after the 2024 season came to a close at the Italian Grand Prix last month.
Wurz completed his rookie Formula 3 campaign with Jenzer Motorsport, finishing 22nd in the Driver Standings with a season high of P5 in Melbourne’s feature race.
Prior to his Formula 3 career, the Austrian-British driver was crowned the 2022 Formula 4 UAE champion and the 2023 Formula Regional Oceania champion
“I am really happy to have signed with Trident and to race with the team that has won the last two FIA Formula 3 Championships in 2025,” said Wurz.
“The team’s track record could not be more prestigious. I’ve already developed a great chemistry with the team, as we share the same drive and desire to win. I know I have a lot to learn from them. I am already training for next year and cannot wait to get started.”
