The 2025 rookie, Ollie Bearman will step in for Kevin Magnussen at Haas for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix next week.

Kevin Magnussen has had his fair share of collisions in 2024. These collisions resulted in the Dane receiving the maximum of 12 penalty points following his collision with Alpine’s Pierre Gasly. This saw him receive a race ban to be served when Formula 1 hits the streets of Baku next week.
The 19-year-old British Driver will race for the American outfit in 2025. Following Bearman’s impressive debut in Saudi Arabia, he was the reasonable choice for the team.
This call-up will allow Ollie Bearman to familiarise himself with members of his future team, as well as the ins and outs of a Formula 1 race weekend. This enables him and Haas to hit the ground running when Formula 1 kicks off the 2025 season in Melbourne.

Ollie Bearman missing out on another Formula 2 weekend
However, this promotion inevitably means he will be unable to compete in the Formula 2 weekend. The Ferrari junior was able to secure pole as well as a sprint and feature race victory in an insanely dominant weekend.
Many eyes will be on Bearman, hoping he will be able to convert his Formula 2 success to Formula 1. With Baku known for its high-speed straights and unforgiving corners, Bearman will be in for a unique challenge. However, this opportunity may be exactly what Bearman needs to emphasise his readiness for the 2025 season.

It is most likely that Kevin Magnussen will return when F1 heads to Singapore.
