ART’s Laurens van Hoepen has been disqualified from the F3 Feature race at the 2024 Hungarian GP, stripping him of his P2 position. The Dutchman had his result nullified following a breach of the F3 Technical Regulations. The FIA concluded that “Car 24 had not met the minimum weight requirement set out in Article 5.1 of the 2024 FIA Formula 3 Technical Regulations”.

The disqualification means that every driver behind him will move up a place in the classification; Van Amersfoort racing’s Noel León moves to P2 with Trident’s Leonardo Fornaroli now taking the final podium position.

Another driver to face some disappointment after the F3 Feature Race at the 2024 Hungarian GP is Jenzer Motorsport’s Matías Zagazeta. The Peruvian driver has been handed a penalty for causing a collision. Zagazeta and PREMA Racing’s Arvid Lindblad found themselves in a tangle, seeing them both out of the race. The Stewards determined after the race that Zagazeta had been responsible for the collision, applying a five-place grid penalty to be served at the next race.
