Trident’s Sami Meguetounif and AIX Racing’s Nikita Bedrin have been handed post-race penalties after the F3 Sprint race at the Spanish GP Weekend. Both drivers were found by the Stewards to have caused collisions.
Meguetounif was handed a five-place grid penalty for causing a collision. The Frenchman clashed with his own teammate Santiago Ramos at Turn 1 on Lap 3 of the F3 Spanish GP Sprint. The Mexican driver was left with a puncture, ruining his race. Meguetounif put himself out of the race, and will now start the Feature race tomorrow five places below his initial classification.
Bedrin has been handed a three-place grid penalty to serve at the Feature race tomorrow. The AIX driver collided with Rodin Motorsport’s Callum Voisin at Turn 1. Both drivers DNFed following the incident.
