The movie, directed by Joseph Kosinski, who also directed Top Gun: Maverick and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and Chad Oman, was created in collaboration with Formula 1 and Lewis Hamilton’s Dawn Apollo Films company.

This movie, already described as “a landmark for the sport and cinema,” was filmed in real-time during Grands Prix worldwide, involving all the teams, drivers, the FIA, and race promoters.

The film will star Brad Pitt as a former driver returning to the sport and Damson Idris as his teammate at APXGP, a fictional 11th team on the grid.

The cast includes Academy Award nominee Kerry Condon, Academy Award winner Javier Bardem, Emmy Award winner and Golden Globe Award nominee Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia, and Samson Kayo.

Production of the movie, which began in 2023, will continue at this summer’s British Grands Prix and other races until the Abu Dhabi one in December.
