The FIA have confirmed that the all-electric championship will include an official Formula E Manufacturers’ title from the GEN3 Evo era.
Formula E currently harbours an impressive line up of manufacturers and will be home to seven from Season 11. Electric Racing Technologies (ERT), Jaguar, Mahindra Racing, Nissan, Porsche, STELLANTIS and new addition Lola Cars. Between them, they will be powering 11 teams across the grid.
The scoring for this trophy mirrors that of the Teams’ Championship. Points will be awarded based on the manufacturer’s two highest-scoring cars in every race. First place will be awarded 25 points, second place will receive 18 points and third 15 points, etc. The points for the Julius Baer Pole Position and Fastest Lap are also factored into the totals.
While Formula E introduced the Manufacturers’ Trophy for Season 10, in a recent World Motorsport Council meeting it was confirmed that it will now be recognised as an official FIA trophy from Season 11.
