Leclerc says Ferrari have “worked hard to prepare” for Monaco

“Monaco week is always very special for me,” Leclerc remarked.

“Having grown up here, it’s extra special. We’ve always been competitive in Monaco, so I hope it will be the same this weekend. We’ve worked hard to prepare, and I’m hoping for a good result.”

Despite Monaco’s competitive history, Leclerc’s past results have fallen short of his aspirations. However, with meticulous preparations by the Maranello-based team, Leclerc remains hopeful that this time will be different.

Reflecting on his past performances, Leclerc expressed his desire for victory rather than settling for podium finishes. “Second or third is not really something that excites me,” he stated.

“The win is what we need to target. If we’re on pole, then that will give us a good chance to achieve our goal.”

Recent races have seen Ferrari and McLaren closing the gap with Red Bull in qualifying, which could prove crucial in Monaco’s tight and twisty circuit.

“In Monaco, you always start from scratch,” Leclerc explained.

“There can be surprises, as we’ve seen before. We’ll have to see after Friday where we stand compared to the others. But I will be surprised if we’re not in the mix for pole, at least.”

With determination and a strong belief in his team’s abilities, Charles Leclerc is set to give his all as he aims to shine on the streets of Monaco and claim victory in front of his home crowd.
