Formula E’s only Indian driver, Jehan Daruvala, stated that, despite a strong showing in race two, he wanted more from the weekend and that he has felt more confident to fight after every weekend.

Daruvala had been running inside the top five in race one before a late incident led him to pick up front wing damage and need to pit.

Eventually finishing 17th, one would think sixth would give him a sense of redemption, however, he was clear he is hungry for more.

He said: “The whole weekend I would say has been I would say better, not great. I still want more as a driver but just been improving every time. i feel more confident to fight with these guys in the races.

“Yesterday we deserved good points and today we scored some decent points so overall I’m happy with the result and looking forward to more in the second half of the season.”

Maserati struggled throughout the Berlin weekend despite flashes of strong moments.

Teammate Maximilian Günther didn’t finish either race, hitting the wall out of T9 in race one and then facing a similar accident at T2 in race two.

When asked by EF1 on what he thinks he could improve on, Daruvala believes that the ‘peloton’ style racing of FE is something he still needs to adjust to, unique in motorsport to the series.

He said: “I feel like I’m just improving in the racing in general, in the peloton style of racing, obviously it’s quite unique to Formula E.

“It’s obviously different racing to what I’m used to in F2 in the past but I enjoy it. It reminds me of my karting days.

“There’s a lot of strategy involved and to race with all these guys, getting your elbows out is quite a lot of fun.”
