Mercedes
Mercedes have brought a new floor aimed at increasing the amount of load it produces, along with a new front suspension fairing to improve flow to the rear of the car. This goes along with circuit specific changes which is adding more cooling louvres due to the hotter temperatures and a reduced front wing flap to match the lower downforce rear wing.
McLaren’s Miami Grand Prix Updates
Lando Norris will have all the upgrades, whereas his teammate Oscar Piastri will only have half of it before getting the full package at Imola.
The squad have developed a new front wing, front and rear suspension shrouds, front and rear brake ducts, floor, beam wing, cooling louvres, sided inlet and coke bottle/engine cover.
Norris said the developments are aimed at putting more load on the car, rather than tackling the MCL 38’s handling issues.
He said when asked about the upgrade: “Hopefully a quicker car, I think it’s reasonable.
“It definitely should be obvious for when I’m behind the wheel in terms of finding some good steps forward.
But, it’s not necessarily directed at helping helping all of our weaker areas, which is something we’re still aiming for and working very hard to try and improve.”
Red Bull
Removed one of the supports for floor edge wing to save weight.
Aston Martin
Circuit specific tweaks which includes a bigger cooling outlet and trimmed down front wing profile to help balance the car with a smaller rear wing.
RB
Development to floor body and diffuser.
Williams
Lower downforce front wing to better balance the car for the demands of the circuit.
Sauber
Reduced profile front wing flaps and lower drag rear wing.
Haas
Revised diffuser geometry for greater overall downforce.
