As HAAS F1 contemplates its team lineup for 2025, veteran driver Kevin Magnussen has made his expectations clear regarding potential teammates.
With HAAS’s current reserve driver and Ferrari junior, Oliver Bearman, emerging as a likely candidate to fill Nico Hülkenberg’s newly vacant seat, Magnussen has set a firm boundary:
“I’m not really here to take care of young kids. I do that at home. Hopefully, the guy we’ll have in the car will be competent and professional and consistent like Nico has been. We’ll see if I’ll be in the other car.”
Magnussen speaking in an interview with PitDebrief.
Bearman’s Rising Profile
Young Brit Oliver Bearman at just 18, has shown promise despite a challenging start in the Formula 2 championship. His capabilities were on full display when he stepped up to replace Carlos Sainz in Jeddah, securing a remarkable P7 finish. This performance not only highlighted his potential but also stirred speculation about his future in F1 with HAAS.
