Formula E’s Misano Rookies Take Centre Stage

As Formula E prepares for its next race in Misano, a new group of drivers are preparing to take the wheel of the advanced GEN3 cars. This Friday will feature a 30-minute Rookie Free Practice session, where each of the 11 World Championship teams will field a ‘rookie’ driver. These drivers, who may have prior experience with Formula E machinery, must not appear on the Season 10 Entry List and must not have competed in a Formula E race before. This initiative aims to provide a pathway for promising young talent to ascend to the pinnacle of electric motorsport.

German racer Tim Tramnitz returns to ABT CUPRA, having previously impressed during last season’s tests. A member of the Red Bull Junior Team and Motorsport Team Germany, Tramnitz is actively competing in FIA Formula 3. “I especially like working with the engineers when we analyse all the data. It’s much more comprehensive than in Formula 3. I can learn a lot,” he said.
