On 17 January, 20-year-old French driver Doriane Pin joined the Mercedes-AMG F1 Team Junior Programme. She will take part in the 2024 edition of the F1 Academy for the Prema team.
The rising French star
Doriane made her debut in karting and quickly proved to be highly competitive in this field. The 2019 French karting champion, Doriane has been selected for the FIA’s ‘Girls on Track – Rising Star’ programme. She is one of four female drivers shortlisted to join the prestigious Ferrari Driver Academy. On this occasion, Doriane Pin made her debut in Formula 4. Thanks to her excellent performances, she joined the Iron Dames “Women driven by dreams” team in March 2021.
Debuts in Endurance
She has taken part in a number of endurance events at the wheel of Grand Toursim or GT3 cars in championships such as the Michelin Le Mans Cup, the Ferrari Challenge, the 24h of Spa and the European Le Mans Series. On the other hand, in 2023, the French driver joined the Prema racing team in the LMP2 category. She finished 3rd in the World Endurance Championship.
To the single-seater
Finally, at the end of 2023, she raced in a single-seater, taking part in the Formula 4 South East Asia season with the Prema team. In just 6 races, she scored 4 podium and 1 victory to finish runner-up the championship.
To sum up, Doriane Pin got off to an impeccable start in the dicipline and continues her quest for the greatest motorsport competitions.
