In a crucial qualifying for the Formula 3 Championship, it was decided once again like last year in the pit lane.
Gabriel Bortoleto has won the Formula 3 Championship alongside Trident after an early conclusion due to a red flag. Paul Aron takes second in the standings and Josep Martà could not close the gap.
Oliver Goethe, who was fastest, took pole with Caio Collet P2 and Aron P3. However, Goethe caused a red flag also received a 10 place penalty for the sprint race after incident in Spa. This meant that Bortoleto gave himself enough of a gap to win the Championship regardless of the outcome of the sprint and feature races.
Goethe will take pole alongside Caio Collet for Sunday race and Gregoire Saucy on reverse pole for tomorrow’s race
