Speculation over Lewis Hamilton and his contract with Meecedes has been at the forefront of discussions within the paddock for some time, with some saying that it the 7-time Champion could retire at the end of the season and rumours that the 7- time Campion had been offered £40million to join, however the world of F1 needs to speculate no more as Lewis and Mercedes have finally sorted a new contract.
Contract Details
Mercedes released details of the contract with Hamilton remaining with the team until 2025, This means that Lewis Hamilton will have been at the team for 12 years, since joining in 2013.
Hamilton’s Stats and Future
Statistically, Lewis Hamilton is one of the greatest Formula 1 drivers, taking 7 World Drivers Championships and winning 103 of the 323 races he has entered in Formula 1, however Lewis as not won a race since the 2021 Saudi Arabian GP.
The new contract signifies that Lewis trusts that Mercedes can still fight Redbull and help him reach his 8th World Championship.
