Ferrari has decided to make some changes to their management structure prior to the start of the Belgium GP. The Maranello based squad has announced the departure of Laurent Mekies as Race Director. Mekies was part of the team for four and a half seasons.

Ferrari has announced that Diego Ioverno will take up the role of Sporting Director, as part of this role he will be responsible for all Sporting matters including liaising with the FIA.
Ioverno will work along side Matteo Togninalli, Head of Track and Engineering and Ravin Jain, Race Strategist who will all report directly to Team Principle, Fred Vassuer.
Why Changes are Happening Now?
Ferrari has moved to bring the changes in now as Mekies will be heading to Alpha Tauri as Team Principle for the 2024, replacing the out going Franz Tost.
Laurent Mekies was announced as the new Alpha Tauri team principal back in late April, with Peter Bayer arriving as the teams CEO
