SILVERSTONE INTERACTIVE MUSEUM REVIEW
With the 2023 Formula 1 season just around the corner, I’m sure you’re excited to see your favourite drivers return to the track.
As a Formula 1 fan, nothing beats race weekends.
But sometimes, there are no races. What then?
What do you do, on dare I say it…on non-race weekends?

Ever wanted to race around a Formula 1 track? Or be the next ‘Lewis Hamilton’ (insert favourite driver here)?
Well you’re in luck because the Silverstone Interactive Museum makes it possible to enjoy a simulator experience & walk the old Formula 1 track.
Add it to your to do list. Go grab your tickets. And don’t ever let the winter break drive you to tears.
FORMULA 1 FUN FOR ALL THE FAMILY
For as little as £13.50 for kids and £22.50 for adults you really do get fun for all the family.
Whether you’re a racing fanatic (yes I am talking to you). Or you just want to tire out your kids for a few hours (half term am I right!) The Silverstone Interactive Museum does not disappoint.
‘Interactive’ is often a term used very loosely when it comes to museums, but not here. From crawl spaces, to practicing your own pitstop you truly are immersed in all that Formula 1 has to offer.
But that’s not all, because until the 26th February you have the opportunity to see the Racing Legends Exhibition which includes:
🏎️ Jenson Button’s 2009 Brawn BGP 001
🏎️ Sir Jackie Stewart’s 1971 Tyrrell 003
🏎️ Daniel Ricciardo’s 2014 Red Bull RB10
‘But Tatum I can’t visit this February’…well no need to fear because with regular exhibition updates you’re spoilt for choice. That annual pass sure looks like good value for money now!

FORMULA 1 NERDS THIS ONE’S FOR YOU
But if cool cars aren’t enough for you (said no sane person ever), and you want to get your tech on, you have come to the right place.
Learn the ins and outs of racing cars and motorbikes, as the science behind the sport comes to life. I say ‘comes to life’ but I can’t promise that you’ll see ‘Night at the Museum: The Silverstone Spinoff’ anytime soon.
But with the help of experts from Suzuki and Mclaren, you can learn about the incredible technology that goes into racing and test your knowledge in a series of interactive challenges. Your final test is to put together your own racing bike using what you’ve learnt – are you up to the challenge?

TAKE A SILVERSTONE TRACK WALK
Whilst a track walk might not quite replicate Lando Norris flying around Silverstone. It’s still pretty cool to walk on the original grand prix circuit.
On the Heritage Track Trail you will learn about:
- Bridge corner
- Priory
- Wellington Straight
- Brooklands
- Luffield
- The RAF memorial
And best of all, if you’re a Lewis Hamilton fan, I’ve got you covered, because the track walk is the perfect opportunity to snap a selfie with the GOAT himself…well his mural.

But if you only take one piece of advice from this article, let it be this; try not to spend all your money in the gift shop.
(I promise I needed a Silverstone umbrella, lanyard and another replica Mercedes car…)
